Sorry I missed raid tonight. Signed up late last night anyways. Wont be on rest of the week, Im working 10-12 hour shifts all week long. Should be back to a normal type schedule next week, which should mean my making Wed and prob tuesdays again.
I'm interested in MC runs, finding the time is the hard part these days. I'm more in for the rep & the eyeball than anything -- Note if I get the eyeball I won't combine it until Cata is released so the guild gets the legendary weapon towards the achievement
...i changed my mind and decided to get the 2232GW. Ive been to the computer store tonight to get it, but once there, i realized that the screen was glossy and was reflecting light and i didnt like it. Im now back to square 1. Since i got back home, ive been re-reading all reviews of all 22" monitors and cant decide which one i should get. I realised though that a 24" might be too big and cost a lot more and decided to go with a 22". At least i found that out of my trip to the store
From what i read, It looks like a Dell monitor would be a good choice (2208WFP), unfortunately, they dont seam to be available in any stores nearby. Can we only order them online and have them delivered?
Besides Dell, and Samsung, it looks like the only other choice is Viewsonic. Im debating which one of these 3 (VX2240W - 2ms, VX2245WM - 5ms, VX2255WMB - 5ms) i should be getting. Im tempted by the VX2240W because of his low response time, yet not sure if im making the right choice.
There was a few other brand that i never heard of before and again, they are not available in any of the computer stores nearby...
Because i dont want to get something only because im out of options (which is how i feel about the Viewsonic monitors, although i could be wrong...) id like, once again, to ask for your help
I'm currently (~4 months) using a Dell 2407 WFP HC. I must admit the additional screen real estate is nice. The Dell models are good for gaming, fast refresh and I have been happy with the color depth/response time. (Although, I should mention my wife did the color calibration, she has a better eye for that than I do, and a gadget for calibration.) We did mail order it. Currently, Dell seems to be in one of their 'good QA' phases. I would guess that the 2207 would be pretty much the same electronics so should work the same, just 2 inches different in size.
In the past I've used Viewsonic monitors, and been happy with them, but haven't bought one for several years.
This is very constructive and helpful Kalbya, isnt it? I rather have the opinion of people that know what they are talking about than having to listen to the clerk in the store that is only interested in getting his commission and for whom every screens are all the same. Obviously, and if you had taken the time to read the links i posted, not all screens are the same, some are more adapted for gaming than others and I want to make the right choice. There are a lot of people here that know a lot more than I do (and probably that know more than you do as well). If you are annoyed by those posts, you always have the option to NOT read them rather than responding to it in an unrespectful way...Im sorry if im being blunt, but i didnt think your post was relevant to the discussion and only contributed to upset me.

Nashal! Be a man & get a Samsung Syncmaster 120hz Refresh 46" LCD TV
Actually I've had really good luck with my Samsung Syncmaster Widescreen monitor running over DVI at 1680x1050 “Stand up. Face forward. Hesitate and you will die. Retreat and you will age.”-Zangetsu Not so Eternal Lowbie anymore
Id really like to get a 46" screen and be a real man Although i would probably die with my eyes burning as it would basically take the whole wall in front of me on my computer table
Which Syncmaster model did you get Pyro? the 2232GW or 236BW?
This is a very affordable 22" LCD and easy to find. It's got a very good response time (~ 3-4 ns iirc) for its price range.. heck probably good for any price ranges. I got really lucky and I think I got the better version of the two. Picture quality of the 226BW is touted as very good. I got mine from newegg.com. If I had to order another.. I'd try to find a way to make sure I was getting the better version.. and not all online vendors have a live operator.
I advise that you find out if your desk has you looking slightly up, straightforward/level, or slightly down to view the monitor. I have to look slightly up so the picture quality at the top of the monitor is barely barely less clear then the parts at the middle and lower.. so you might have to consider viewing angle for best picture quality..which translate into consideraton of height of the stand/LCD viewing area.

My lastest is a 22in WS, LG Flatron L226WTQ-BF Ultra fast 2ms, 3000:1 contrast, 1680 x 1050, DVI I love it, and the best part was it was pretty cheap, got on sale at Best Buy for $279, I think it was a $50 savings off regular price. It actually takes up less desk space than my 19in did 'cause the stand has a smaller footprint.
I ended up getting the samsung 2232GW the other day. Although i see a bit of back light at the bottom and on top when theres no image, its barely noticable in game or while watching a movie. Si i figured it was not a big problem...And im happy with it...I really like the size of it and the resolution...
