Here's a link to a pretty good guide that I found on Wowhead today: link (link is external)
In this, we'll follow the gold-run strategy, in order to maximize our time; but it will likely take us a few practice runs to pull off even a silver. Here's some point-form notes from the video that we can review before the run:
- At the start of the run, two people will need to grab buckets of meat. The tank will aggro the Vigilant Watchman, and then one of the players with the meat bucket will toss it on the pack of dogs once that group is all together.
We don't want to aoe damage these groups. Just distract the dogs with the meat so that we get the kill.
The first group is in the hallway; the econd, around the corner.
- After the second Vigilant Watchman group is taken care of, the tank (or another with a speed boost) will grab a shield and run onto the Commander and start aoe'ing the mobs at the end of the garden area there.
The healer and other players will need to be as close behind as possible, making sure to stay out of the fire. There shouldn't be too much fire if we get to the boss asap.
- There are 1-2 more Vigilant Watchman groups after this that we can aggro and throw meat at in order to move past them and get the kills on the watchmen that we need.
- Then it's Houndmaster time. We'll aggro right away, and use AOE stuns as much as possible to control the dogs. We don't want to aoe these. Focus damage on the boss and control the dogs as much as possible.
- We then let the dogs take out the guards at the top of the stairs and move on down.
- BEFORE we move into the area with the canoneers, we need to toss a speed boost if we have one; and then hit our invisibility pots so we can run through those rooms to the other set of stairs.
- Once at the stairs, we'll pull the last trash group in the room we ran through for our total enemies killed count.
- This trash pack is a pain. They hit every bit as much like trucks as the ones in the hallway above do.
- We need to watch for Scarlet Evangelists which apparently have a 5s Smite that can one-shot you if you're not careful.
- I'll recommend we have these mobs marked and have folks dedicated to interrupt or stun on them. This'll go for the trash pack from you-know-where in the hallway by Armsmaster Harlan.
- Make sure the trash pack in the hallway at the top of the stairs is away while we take on Armsmaster Harlan. This is pretty much the same as it is on heroic, so we'll watch out for his Blades of Light.
- The trash pack in the hallway now has to be dealt with. It's apparently a difficult one. We'll need to do as much AOE stun / Crowd Control as we can here in order to make it through. The video I linked above said Army of the Dead was particularly useful in helping to down this group. Too bad we don't have a DK signed up. :)
- The next few groups of trash involve your standard mechanics. We'll stun wherever possible, and interrupt key abilities like the big red dome that some of the groups put up.
- For Flameweaver Koegler, we need to intercept the firey bolt from Bookburner, and stay out of the other flame effects as much as possible. It's going to be hectic, but I'm sure we can pull it off!
